Buses to Istán may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride that takes about 30 minutes to reach Istán.

Upon arriving at Istán, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, head towards the village center by following the signs. Walk through the picturesque streets of Istán until you reach the entrance of the path leading to Castaño Santo. The walk from the village center to Castaño Santo is approximately 2 kilometers, and it will take around 30 to 40 minutes. Follow the trail markers that indicate the path to Castaño Santo, which is known for its historical significance and stunning views.
