Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the center of San Sebastián, head towards the waterfront along the Paseo de la Concha. Enjoy the scenic views of the bay as you walk westward. Continue along the promenade until you reach the end of the beach, where you will see the iconic Hotel de Londres y de Inglaterra. From there, turn left onto Calle Zubieta and walk until you reach Plaza Gipuzkoa. Cross the plaza diagonally towards the far corner and continue straight onto Calle de la Paz. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Avenida de la Libertad. Cross the avenue and continue straight onto Calle Fuenterrabía. This will lead you towards the border with France. Keep walking until you reach the town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, where Place Louis XIV is located. It should be a short walk from the border, close to the waterfront.

• Public Transport

  From the city center, head to the San Sebastián bus station located at Plaza Pío XII. Take a bus towards Saint-Jean-de-Luz; there are several providers offering this route. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Saint-Jean-de-Luz bus station, exit and walk straight ahead until you reach the waterfront. Turn right and walk along the promenade until you reach Place Louis XIV, which is just a short walk from the beach.

• Bicycle

  For a more adventurous route, you can rent a bicycle at one of the rental shops in San Sebastián. Start at La Concha beach and cycle along the waterfront path heading west. Follow the path to the edge of the city and continue towards the border with France. The cycling route is scenic and relatively flat, making it easy to navigate. Once you reach the town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, follow the signs towards the town center, where you will find Place Louis XIV near the waterfront.
