If you are starting from the Santander Cathedral (Catedral de Santander), head southeast on Calle de la Catedral toward Calle del Medio. Continue straight onto Calle del Medio until you reach Plaza de la Reina Victoria. From the plaza, walk towards the waterfront on Paseo de Pereda. Once you reach the promenade, follow it along the bay for about 800 meters. You will see the Monumento a José Hierro on your left, located at P.º de Pereda, 35.

From the Santander Bus Station (Estación de Autobuses), take Bus Line 1 towards Cueto. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Estación Marítima' stop. From there, walk south towards Paseo de Pereda.
