Getting There

• Public Transport

  From the city center of Santiago de Compostela, head to the nearest bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Santiago. You can walk there from the Cathedral of Santiago in about 15 minutes. Once at the bus station, look for a bus that goes towards A Coruña or nearby towns. Ensure to ask the bus driver for a stop close to 'Rúa do Piñeiro'. After about a 20-30 minute bus ride, disembark at the stop closest to Rúa do Piñeiro. From there, it’s a short walk to Castelo da Rocha Forte, which is located at Rúa do Piñeiro, 26.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, start from the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Head northwest on Rúa do Franco, then turn left onto Rúa da Raíña. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rúa do Piñeiro. Turn right onto Rúa do Piñeiro, and walk until you reach number 26, where Castelo da Rocha Forte is located. The walk will take around 25-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Bicycle

  For those who wish to cycle, you can rent a bicycle in the city center. From the Cathedral, take Rúa do Franco to Rúa da Raíña, then follow the path leading to Rúa do Piñeiro. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Be mindful of street traffic and bike lanes. Once you reach Rúa do Piñeiro, continue until you find Castelo da Rocha Forte at number 26.
