If you're driving, start from the center of Sierra Nevada and follow the signs towards Granada. Take the A-395 road towards Granada and merge onto the A-44 towards Granada/Almería. Shortly after, take the exit for the N-323 towards Granada. Continue on the N-323 until you reach the city limits of Granada. Once in Granada, follow signs for the Albaicín district. You will need to park in a designated area as the streets in Albaicín can be narrow and may not allow for vehicle access. Look for public parking options nearby, such as Parking Plaza Nueva.

To reach Puerta de Fajalauza via public transport, first take a bus from Sierra Nevada to Granada. The bus service is operated by ALSA and the journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the main bus station in Granada, take local city bus number C1 or C2, which will take you to the Albaicín district. Get off at the stop 'Cruz de Piedra', which is the closest point to Puerta de Fajalauza. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk to the fortress, following signs directing you to the historic area.
