Getting there

Car

From Adam's Peak, head northwest on the A7 road towards Hatton. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes. Follow the signs for Hatton, and as you approach the town, keep an eye out for Old Colombo Road (B1). Turn left onto Old Colombo Road. Rothes Waterfall is located approximately 10 minutes down this road. Look for the sign indicating the waterfall. There is a small roadside parking area available.

Public Transportation (Bus)

From Adam's Peak, walk to the nearest bus stop in the village. Take a bus heading towards Hatton; the fare is usually around 50 LKR. The journey will take about 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the Hatton bus station. From there, you can either take a tuk-tuk or a local bus that goes along Old Colombo Road. The tuk-tuk fare may be around 300-500 LKR, and it will take about 10 minutes to reach Rothes Waterfall. If taking a local bus, it may take longer, so be prepared for a bit of waiting.
