    If you are travelling by car from Colombo District, start your journey on the Colombo - Kandy Road (A1). Follow this road towards Kandy for approximately 90 km until you reach the town of Kegalle. From Kegalle, take the A8 road heading south towards Ratnapura for about 30 km. After passing Ratnapura, continue on the A8 until you reach Embilipitiya. At Embilipitiya, turn onto the B40 road towards Udawalawe. The park entrance will be approximately 20 km from Embilipitiya.
