Walking
If you are in the Fort area of Colombo, start at the Fort Railway Station. Exit the station and head east towards the Colombo Harbour. Walk along the main road, Sir James Pieris Mawatha, which is the road that runs parallel to the water. Continue walking straight for about 15-20 minutes. You will pass the Colombo Lighthouse on your left and several shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards 'Gangarama Sima Malaka'. Once you reach the area of the Beira Lake, you will see the entrance to the temple complex on your right. The Sima Malaka is located on an island in the lake, accessible by a small bridge.
