    Bus

    From Colombo Fort, head to the Colombo Central Bus Stand. Look for a bus heading to Thalangama or Malabe. The bus number 138 is a good option. Once you board the bus, inform the conductor that you're going to Thalangama Lake. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. When you arrive at the Thalangama junction, get off the bus. From the junction, walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance to Thalangama Lake.

    Tuk-Tuk

    If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Colombo. Simply ask the driver to take you to Thalangama Lake. It's best to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The ride will take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right at the entrance of the lake.

    Train and Bus

    Start at Colombo Fort Railway Station and take a train towards Kandy or Nanu Oya. Get off at the nearest station, which is in the vicinity of Malabe. From there, you'll need to take a local bus (look for the sign for buses going to Thalangama) or a tuk-tuk to reach Thalangama Lake. This combination may take about 1-1.5 hours depending on train and bus schedules.
