Walking
If you are starting from Fort Railway Station, exit the station and walk towards the main road, Sir James Peiris Mawatha. Turn left and walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass the Colombo Harbor on your left. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Galle Face Green. Turn right at this junction onto Galle Road, and then take the first left onto Independence Avenue. Walk straight for another 1 kilometer, and you will see the entrance to Viharamahadevi Park on your right.

Public Bus
From your location, head to the nearest bus stop and board a bus heading towards Borella. Buses 138, 138E, and 150 frequently service this route. Ask the conductor to inform you when to get off at the Borella Junction. Once you get off, walk along the main road (Borella Road) towards the direction of Colombo City. After about a 15-minute walk, you will reach the intersection with Independence Avenue. Turn right, and after a short walk, you will see Viharamahadevi Park on your left.
