From the centre of Cinnamon Gardens, head southeast on D. S. Senanayake Mawatha towards Independence Avenue. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Independence Avenue. Once you arrive at the intersection, turn left onto Independence Avenue. Continue walking for about 300 meters, and you will see Independence Square on your right. The entire walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

Locate the nearest bus stop in Cinnamon Gardens, which is likely on D. S. Senanayake Mawatha. Take a bus heading towards Borella or Galle Face. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you at the 'Independence Square' stop. The bus fare typically costs around 20-30 LKR, and the journey will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. After getting off, walk about 5 minutes towards Independence Avenue to reach the square.
