Walking
From Fort Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Janadhipathi Mawatha. Walk straight for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Chatham Street. Turn left onto Chatham Street and continue walking until you reach the Colombo Port City. From there, you will see signs for Mount Mary. Continue straight and take the pedestrian bridge over the canal. After crossing, follow the road signs until you arrive at J. D. Fernando Mawatha. Mount Mary will be on your left.
Public Bus
Head to the nearest bus station from your location in Fort. Take a bus heading towards Colombo 10 (look for buses with 'Colombo 10' on the display). The fare is typically around LKR 20-30. Get off at the stop named 'Colombo 10' (ask the conductor to alert you). From there, walk along J. D. Fernando Mawatha for about 15 minutes. Mount Mary will be on your right side.
Tuk-Tuk
Find a Tuk-Tuk stand nearby or use a ride-hailing app to book a Tuk-Tuk. Instruct the driver to take you to J. D. Fernando Mawatha, Colombo 10. The fare usually ranges from LKR 150-250 depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off directly at the entrance of Mount Mary.
