Getting There

Walking
From the Galle Fort entrance, head south on the main road (A2) towards Unawatuna. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach a sign indicating the turn to Unawatuna. Follow the signs and take the right turn onto the Unawatuna Road. Continue straight for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the beach area. The beach will be on your left.

Find a tuk-tuk stand near Galle Fort or flag one down on the street. Tell the driver you want to go to Unawatuna Beach. The ride will take about 15 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off directly near the beach entrance.
