    Start from the Galle Fort. Exit the Fort through the main gate and head southeast towards the Galle Clock Tower. Walk straight along the main road, Sri Sudarshanaramaya Road, for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and local eateries. Continue walking until you reach the junction with the Unawatuna Road. Turn left onto Unawatuna Road and walk another 1 kilometer. You will see signs directing you to Unawatuna Beach. Once you reach the beach area, follow the path leading directly to the shoreline.

    From anywhere in Galle, find a tuk-tuk stand or hail one from the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to Unawatuna Beach. The ride will typically take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you via Unawatuna Road, which is the direct route to the beach. Once you arrive, the tuk-tuk can drop you off at the beach entrance.

  • Bus

    Head to the Galle Bus Station, which is located near the Galle Fort. Look for buses heading towards Unawatuna. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to tell the conductor that you want to get off at Unawatuna Beach. The bus will stop close to the beach area, and you'll just need to walk a short distance to reach the shoreline.
