If you are driving to Horton Plains National Park, take the A1 highway from Colombo towards Nuwara Eliya. Once you reach Nuwara Eliya, follow the signs for Horton Plains National Park. The final stretch will involve a narrow road leading to the park entrance. After entering the park, follow the signs to Baker's Falls Rd, where Camp site 2 is located. Make sure to have cash ready for the entrance fee, which is typically around 2,500 LKR for foreign tourists.

To reach Horton Plains National Park using public transportation, first take a bus from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya. Buses leave regularly from the Colombo Central Bus Stand and the fare is approximately 300 LKR. Once you arrive in Nuwara Eliya, you can take a taxi or a tuk-tuk to Horton Plains National Park. The fare for a taxi may vary but expect to pay around 2,000-3,000 LKR. Upon entering the park, proceed towards Baker's Falls Rd to reach Camp site 2.

Once you are in Horton Plains National Park, if you are staying at a nearby campsite or lodge, you can hike to Camp site 2. The trails are well-marked, and you can start from the main visitor center. Follow the trail signs leading towards Baker's Falls. The hike is approximately 2 kilometers and should take about 40-60 minutes, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry enough water. Look out for the beautiful flora and fauna along the way!
