Car
If you are driving from Kalutara, take the A2 highway heading towards Ratnapura. Follow the A2 for approximately 30 kilometers. After passing through the town of Horana, continue straight until you reach Ratnapura. As you approach Ratnapura, look for signs directing you to the waterfall. Turn onto the PC42 road, following the signs for Katugas Ella Waterfall. The waterfall is located at PC42+2Q4 in Ratnapura. There is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Katugas Ella Waterfall by public transportation, start by taking a bus from Kalutara to Ratnapura. Buses frequently depart from the Kalutara bus station. The journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Ratnapura, you can take a tuk-tuk or a local taxi to PC42+2Q4, the site of the waterfall. Make sure to ask the driver to take you to 'Katugas Ella Waterfall' to ensure you are directed correctly.
