Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Galle Fort, head towards the Galle Lighthouse. Once you reach the lighthouse, continue along the coastal road (Light House Street) heading south. Follow the road as it curves slightly to the right and leads you towards the beach area. Keep walking for about 15-20 minutes until you reach Ventura Beach. The beach will be on your left, and you will see signs indicating the beach area.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    Find a tuk-tuk stand near the Galle Fort or ask your hotel to arrange one. Tell the driver you want to go to Ventura Beach. The ride will take about 10 minutes. The driver will take you along the coastal road, and you'll enjoy a scenic view of the ocean. Once you arrive, you can ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to the beach area.

  • Bicycle

    If you're comfortable riding a bicycle, you can rent one from a nearby shop in the Galle Fort area. Start by cycling towards the Galle Lighthouse, then take Light House Street heading south.
