Start at the center of Mirissa, near the beach. Head east on the main road (Matara Road) for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by several shops and eateries. Keep walking until you reach the junction where the road to Matara diverges to the left. Turn left onto the A2 road towards Matara. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers. As you approach Matara, look for signs indicating 'The Shrine of Our Lady of Matara.' Continue straight until you see the shrine on your left side, just off the main road.

From your location in Mirissa, find a tuk-tuk near the beach or on the main road. Negotiate a fare (around 300-500 LKR is typical) for a ride to The Shrine of Our Lady of Matara. The driver will take you directly to the shrine, which is about 3.5 kilometers away. Enjoy the scenic views along the way.
