Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Kandy, take the A1 road towards Colombo. After approximately 25 km, take the exit towards the A4 road. Continue on the A4 for about 70 km until you reach Kuruwita. From Kuruwita, follow the signs to Agalawatta. Bopath Falls is located on the HiggasHena - Devipahala Road. Parking is available near the entrance, and there may be a small fee for parking.

• Public Transportation

  From Kandy, take a bus to Ratnapura. Buses are frequent and the journey takes around 2-3 hours. Once in Ratnapura, transfer to a local bus heading to Kuruwita. Alternatively, you can take a tuk-tuk from Ratnapura to Kuruwita for a more direct route. After reaching Kuruwita, look for a bus or tuk-tuk to take you to Agalawatta. Bopath Falls is located on the HiggasHena - Devipahala Road, which is a short distance from Agalawatta. Make sure to confirm with the driver to drop you off at the closest point to the falls.

• Taxi or Ride-Sharing

  For a more comfortable option, consider booking a taxi or ride-sharing service (if available) from your location in Sabaragamuwa Province. You can use a local taxi service or apps like PickMe. Provide the driver with the exact address: Agalawatta, Kuruwita, HiggasHena - Devipahala Road. It’s advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand or check if the app provides a fare estimate.
