Getting There

    Start your journey at the entrance of Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Head south along the A12 road for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with the A13 road. You will see local shops and small eateries along the way, which can be a nice stop if you need refreshments.

    Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto the A13 road. Continue walking for another 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the Sigiriya Tank sign on your left, which will guide you toward the tank area. The path is well-trodden and usually has other tourists heading in the same direction.

    After about 1.5 kilometers, you will see a dirt path leading off the main road to the left. This path will take you directly to the Sigiriya Tank. Follow this dirt path for approximately 300 meters until you reach the edge of the tank. Enjoy the beautiful views and the surrounding nature.
