Bicycle
From the center of Brokopondo, head east on the main road (Hermanus de la Croixweg). Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading to Nieuw Amsterdam. Turn left onto this road and bike for another 3 kilometers. You will see signage indicating the direction to Fort Nieuw Amsterdam. Continue straight until you reach the fort, which is located at VWP5+V4P, Nieuw Amsterdam.

Walking
If you are walking, start from the Brokopondo bus station. Head east along the main road (Hermanus de la Croixweg). It's a long walk, roughly 8 kilometers, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated. After about an hour, you will reach the junction where you can turn left towards Nieuw Amsterdam. Follow the road signs indicating Fort Nieuw Amsterdam, and you will arrive at the fort.
