Getting There

Walking
Start at the center of Lelydorp, near the main market. Head east on the main road (Kampongweg) for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Paramaribo. Continue straight; you will see signs towards Paramaribo. Keep walking for another 7 kilometers, which will take you to the outskirts of Paramaribo. After that, turn left onto the Waterkant road. Fort Zeelandia will be along this road on your left side. It should take about 1.5 to 2 hours to walk there.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Lelydorp. Begin at the center of Lelydorp, cycling east on Kampongweg for approximately 1.5 kilometers. At the intersection with the road towards Paramaribo, continue straight. Keep pedaling for around 7 kilometers until you reach Paramaribo. Turn left onto Waterkant road once you see the signs. Fort Zeelandia will be on your left. The entire journey should take you about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.

Once you arrive in Paramaribo, get off at the Waterkant stop. From there, walk towards the riverfront, and you will see Fort Zeelandia on your left side.
