    From the center of Mariënburg, head south on the main road (Henck Arronstraat). Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the bridge over the Suriname River. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto the road leading into Nieuw Amsterdam. After about 2 kilometers, you will see signs for Fort Nieuw Amsterdam on your left. Follow the signs, and the fort entrance will be on your left side.

    Start at the main bus terminal in Mariënburg. Look for a bus or minibus heading towards Paramaribo. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Nieuw Amsterdam. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes.
