Getting There

    Start at the center of Mariënburg. Head west on the main street (Kerkweg) until you reach the intersection with the A. K. L. S. Jalanweg. Turn left onto Jalanweg and continue walking straight. After about 15-20 minutes, you will reach the Suriname River. Cross the river using the bridge, and continue straight onto the main road that leads into Paramaribo. After crossing, keep walking straight until you reach the Onafhankelijkheidsplein. The Presidential Palace will be located on your right at Onafhankelijkheidsplein 1.

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can start in the center of Mariënburg and ride west on Kerkweg towards the A. K. L. S. Jalanweg.
