    Start at the central point of Paramaribo, the Independence Square. Head east on Domineestraat towards the intersection with the Waterkant. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Korte Dijk. Turn right onto Korte Dijk and follow this road as it curves into the Johan Adolf Pengelweg. Keep walking straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance to the Jules Wijdenbosch Bridge. The bridge will be visible ahead as you approach the Suriname River.
