Car
If you're driving from the center of Björkliden, head southeast on E10 towards Kiruna. Continue on the E10 for about 25 kilometers until you reach the town of Kiruna. Once in Kiruna, turn onto Swedish Route 45 and follow signs for Stockholm. This route will take you through beautiful Swedish landscapes. After approximately 1,250 kilometers, you will arrive in Stockholm. To reach Lejonbacken in Södermalm, navigate to the coordinates 59.3273° N, 18.0711° E. Look for parking options nearby as it can be limited in the city.
Public Transportation
To reach Lejonbacken using public transportation, start at the Björkliden train station. Take the train to Kiruna. Once in Kiruna, transfer to a train heading south towards Stockholm. The train ride will be long (approximately 18-20 hours) but offers scenic views! Once you arrive in Stockholm, exit at the 'Stockholm Central' station. From there, you can take the metro (Tunnelbana) to 'Sergels Torg' station, and then transfer to the Green Line towards 'Hässelby Strand'. Get off at 'Slussen' station, which is a short walk from Lejonbacken.
