Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the Gothenburg Archipelago area. From Gothenburg city center, take the E6 highway northbound. Follow signs for 'Öckerö' and take exit 81 towards 'Kungsbacka'. Continue on the road until you reach the ferry terminal at 'Kungsbacka'. Take the ferry to 'Öckerö' which usually takes around 30 minutes. From the Öckerö ferry terminal, follow the signs towards 'Holmedammet'. You will need to drive approximately 15 minutes on local roads to reach the observation deck located at JR47+PV, 430 82 Göteborg.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, begin your journey at Gothenburg Central Station (Göteborg C). Take tram line 11 towards 'Saltholmen'. From Saltholmen, catch the ferry to 'Öckerö'. The ferry ride lasts about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Öckerö, you can either take a local bus or use a taxi to reach Holmedammet observation deck. If you choose the bus, check the local schedule for the most current route to JR47+PV, 430 82 Göteborg as the bus service may not run frequently. Be prepared for a short walk from the bus drop-off to the observation deck.
