From the central area of Avenyn, head towards the Kungsportsplatsen square. You can easily find the square by looking for the large fountain and the impressive buildings surrounding it. Once at the square, you will see the Kungsportsavenyen street directly in front of you. Walk straight along Kungsportsavenyen for about 5 minutes. The John Ericsson's Statue will be on your left, near the intersection with Berzeliigatan.

If you're farther along Avenyn, you can take the tram. Look for the nearest tram stop, which should be easily visible along the avenue. Board the tram heading towards 'Lindholmen' or 'Torslanda'. Get off at the 'Kungsportsplatsen' stop, which is just a couple of minutes ride. From there, follow the walking directions mentioned above – head towards Kungsportsavenyen, walk along it, and the statue will be on your left after a short walk.
