    If you are starting from Gothenburg Central Station (Göteborgs centralstation), exit the station and head southwest on Norra Hamngatan. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Postgatan. Turn left onto Postgatan. Follow Postgatan until you arrive at Kungsportsplatsen, a large square with a fountain. From Kungsportsplatsen, head towards the tram stop and take tram number 1 towards Vägskälet. After about 4 stops, get off at the 'Grönsakstorget' stop. From there, walk south on Haga Nygata, and continue straight until you reach Esperantoplatsen. Carolus XI Rex Bastion will be on your right.

From Vasaplatsen, walk south along Vasagatan until you reach the intersection with Esperantoplatsen. Turn left onto Esperantoplatsen. Carolus XI Rex Bastion will be located on your left side.
