Start at Karlstad Central Station (Karlstad C). Exit the station and head north on Drottninggatan. Continue straight for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the large intersection at Kammakargatan. Turn left onto Kammakargatan and walk for about 300 meters until you reach the waterfront promenade by the river Klarälven. Follow the promenade heading west along the riverbank for about 600 meters. You will see a park area on your left; that is Sandgrundsparken, leading to Sandgrundsudden. The park is a lovely space to relax and enjoy the views of the river.
