If you are traveling by car, start from any location in the Stockholm Archipelago and make your way towards Stockholm city. Follow the signs to E4 towards Stockholm. Once you reach the city, exit onto Norrmalmsleden and follow the signs for Kungsholmen. Continue straight onto Fridhemsplan and then onto S:t Eriksgatan. After that, take a right onto Kastellbacken, where you will find Kastellet Stockholm at Kastellbacken 1.

Public Transportation - Train and Bus
For those using public transportation, take a local train (Pendeltåg) from your nearest station in the archipelago to Stockholm Central Station. Upon arriving at the Central Station, follow the signs to the metro (Tunnelbana). Take the blue line (Line 11 or 14) towards Kungsträdgården. Disembark at the station 'Kungsträdgården.' From there, exit the station and walk towards the bus terminal. Catch bus number 43 towards 'Kastellbacken.' This bus will take you directly to Kastellet Stockholm. The entire trip may take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your starting location.

An alternative public transport option is to take a ferry from various points in the archipelago directly to Stockholm. Check the SL (Stockholm Public Transport) website for specific routes. Upon arriving at the ferry terminal in Stockholm, walk towards the nearest metro station (Gamla Stan or Slussen) and take the metro blue line towards Kungsträdgården. Then follow the bus directions as mentioned above to reach Kastellet Stockholm.
