Public Transport - Metro
If you are starting from T-Centralen, take the Blue Line (T11 or T12) towards Kungsträdgården. Once you arrive at the Kungsträdgården station, exit the metro and head east towards the waterfront. From there, walk along the waterfront for about 5 minutes until you reach the entrance of the Royal Palace. Högvaktsavlösningen takes place right outside the Royal Palace.

If you are near the Norrmalmstorg area, you can catch bus number 65 towards 'Skeppsholmen'. Get off at the stop 'Slottsbacken'. From there, walk towards the Royal Palace, which is about a 5-minute walk. The Högvaktsavlösningen ceremony happens just outside the Royal Palace.

If you are already in Gamla Stan (the Old Town), it's very easy to walk to Högvaktsavlösningen. Head towards Storkyrkobrinken; the Royal Palace is located at Storkyrkobrinken 2. The ceremony occurs in front of the palace, making it a short 10-minute walk from the heart of Gamla Stan.

From Djurgården, you can take tram number 7 towards 'City' and get off at the stop 'Gröna Lund'. From there, head towards the nearest bus stop and take bus number 43 towards 'Central Station'. Get off at 'Slottsbacken', and walk about 5 minutes to the Royal Palace to witness Högvaktsavlösningen.
