Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in central Västerås, start at the Västerås Central Station (Västerås C). Exit the station and head southeast on Stora Gatan, which will lead you toward the waterfront. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Mälaren waterfront area. Once you are at the waterfront, turn left and walk along the promenade following the signs for 'Mälaren.' After approximately 500 meters, you will see Västerås lighthouse ahead. The lighthouse is located on a small pier extending into the lake.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from a local service in Västerås. Start at the central bike rental location near Västerås Central Station. From there, head southeast on Stora Gatan toward the waterfront. Once you reach the waterfront, follow the bike path along the lake. This route is approximately 2 kilometers and takes you directly to Västerås lighthouse. You'll enjoy a scenic ride with beautiful views of Mälaren as you approach the lighthouse.

• Public Transport

  For those using public transport, take bus line 1 from Västerås Central Station towards 'Lögarängen.' Get off at the stop 'Mälarpark.' From the bus stop, walk toward the water and follow the path along the Mälaren waterfront. You will find Västerås lighthouse approximately 600 meters from the bus stop. It's a pleasant walk with views of the lake.
