From any location in Västerbotten, head towards E12 highway. If you're coming from Umeå, take the E12 towards Lycksele. This journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Continue on E12 until you reach Lycksele. Once in Lycksele, follow the signs directing you to Brännbergsvägen. The zoo is located at Brännbergsvägen 33, 921 36 Lycksele. There is free parking available on-site.

To reach Lycksele Zoo using public transportation, take a bus from Umeå to Lycksele. Bus services are provided by Länstrafiken Västerbotten, and the trip typically takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Lycksele bus station, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the zoo, which is approximately 3 km away from the bus station. Walking may take about 30-40 minutes; taxis are available and will take around 5-10 minutes, costing approximately 100 SEK.
