Getting there

Walking

From the Ascona Ferry Terminal, head south along the lakeside promenade (Lungolago). This scenic pathway offers beautiful views of Lake Maggiore. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach Piazza Giuseppe Motta. As you approach the square, you will see the vibrant atmosphere with shops and cafes lining the promenade. The Ascona lakeside is located directly at Piazza Giuseppe Motta, where you can enjoy the stunning waterfront.

Public Transport

If you are near the Ascona Bus Station, take bus line 1 towards Locarno. Ride for one stop and get off at the 'Piazza Motta' stop. From there, it’s just a short walk to the Ascona lakeside. Head east on Via Borgo until you reach Piazza Giuseppe Motta, where the lakeside is situated.

Biking

If you have rented a bicycle, start at the Ascona Bike Rental located near the town center. Head towards the lakeside by taking the bike path along Via della Libertà. This will lead you directly to the lakeside promenade. Follow the path for approximately 1 km until you arrive at Piazza Giuseppe Motta, where you can enjoy the views of Ascona lakeside.

Taxi

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Ascona. Simply tell the driver to take you to Piazza Giuseppe Motta. The ride should only take a few minutes and will drop you off directly at the Ascona lakeside.
