To reach Chiesa di San Giorgio in Varenna from Ascona, start at the Ascona ferry terminal. Walk towards the ferry dock and take the ferry to Varenna. The ferry ride typically takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Varenna, exit the ferry and head straight towards the main road (Via XX Settembre). Continue walking straight until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right path onto Contrada della Filanda. Follow this road for about 10 minutes, and you will find Chiesa di San Giorgio at Contrada della Filanda, 25. The church is located on your left.

Begin your journey at Ascona bus station. Take bus number 31 towards Laveno and get off at Varenna-Esino. From there, walk towards the ferry terminal and board the ferry to Varenna. After disembarking, walk straight towards the main road (Via XX Settembre) and then follow the directions as mentioned above to reach Chiesa di San Giorgio.
