From Emmental, set your GPS to Chillon Castle's address: Av. de Chillon 21, 1820 Veytaux. The most direct route is to take the A6 highway towards Lausanne. Continue on A6 for approximately 50 km, then take the exit towards Montreux/Chillon. Follow the signs to Chillon Castle, which is located on the shores of Lake Geneva. There is a parking area available near the castle, but be prepared for parking fees that may range from CHF 1.50 to CHF 2.50 per hour.
Train and Bus
Start by taking a train from Emmental to Montreux. You can catch a train from the nearest station to you, which may require a transfer in Bern or Lausanne. Once you arrive in Montreux, exit the train station and look for local buses heading towards Veytaux or Chillon Castle. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes. Make sure to purchase a ticket for the bus, which may cost around CHF 3.00. The bus will drop you off just a short walk from the castle entrance.
