If you are traveling by car, start from St. Moritz. Head east on Via Traunter Plazzas towards Via Suot, and then turn left onto Via Engiadina (Route 27). Continue on Route 27 for about 6 km until you reach Pontresina. Once in Pontresina, follow the signs for Val Roseg by continuing straight onto Via Maistra. After approximately 1.5 km, you will reach the parking area near the Roseg Glacier Hotel. Parking is available, but may incur a fee, typically around CHF 5-10 per day.
Public Transportation
To reach Val Roseg via public transportation, take a train from your location to Pontresina. The Swiss public transport system is efficient, and you can check schedules on the SBB website or app. Upon arrival at Pontresina train station, look for PostBus services to the Roseg Glacier area. The PostBus service is frequent during the summer months and the journey will take about 15 minutes. Tickets for the PostBus can be purchased at the station or on the bus, costing around CHF 5-10. Once you arrive at the bus stop, follow the marked trails leading to Val Roseg, which is about a 30-minute walk from the stop.
