If you're driving, head to Engelberg town center. From there, follow the signs for 'Gerschnialp' or 'Titlis'. Drive along the Dorfstrasse street until you reach the parking area near the Engelberg cable car station. You can park your car here (note that parking fees may apply). After parking, walk towards the Engelberg cable car station and take the gondola to Gerschnialp. From Gerschnialp, follow the signs directing you toward Walenpfad. The trailhead is located a short walk from the gondola exit.

If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a train to Engelberg. The nearest major train station is Lucerne. From Lucerne, take a train to Engelberg (the journey takes about 45 minutes). Once in Engelberg, exit the train station and walk towards the Engelberg cable car station, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. From there, purchase a ticket for the gondola to Gerschnialp (ticket prices apply). After reaching Gerschnialp, follow the marked trails to reach Walenpfad, which is a short distance from the gondola station.
