The Charming Fontaine de Saint-Léger: A Hidden Gem in Geneva

Getting There

• Tram

  If you are starting from the city center, head to the nearest tram stop, which is likely 'Molard'. Take Tram Line 12 in the direction of 'Bordeaux'. Stay on the tram for 4 stops and get off at 'Rive'. From here, you can transfer to Tram Line 18 at the same station. Board the Tram Line 18 towards 'Ariana' and ride for 3 stops until you reach 'Jardins des Ales'. Upon exiting the tram, walk straight along Rue des Ales until you reach the intersection with Rue Saint-Léger. Turn right onto Rue Saint-Léger, and you will find Fontaine de Saint-Léger at number 16 on your left.

• Bus

  From the main train station, Gare Cornavin, walk to the bus terminal outside. Take Bus Line 36 towards 'Nations'. Ride for 6 stops and get off at 'Jardin Botanique'. From the bus stop, walk towards the Jardin Botanique, then continue walking along the lakeside until you reach Rue Saint-Léger. Turn left on Rue Saint-Léger, and look for number 16, where Fontaine de Saint-Léger is located.

• Walking

  If you are in the vicinity of the Old Town, you can walk to Fontaine de Saint-Léger. Start from Place du Bourg-de-Four, the central square in the Old Town. Head southwest on Rue de la Croix d'Or and continue until you reach Rue des Granges. Turn left and walk along Rue des Granges, which becomes Rue Saint-Léger. After a short walk, look for number 16 on your right side, which is where Fontaine de Saint-Léger is located.
