Klöntaler Wasserturm: A Majestic Landmark by the Lake

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Glarus, start by heading southeast on Bahnhofstrasse toward Churstrasse. Take the first right onto Churstrasse (A3) and continue to follow it for about 7 km. Take the exit toward Klöntal/Klöntalersee. After exiting, turn left onto Klöntalerstrasse. Follow this road until you reach Klöntalersee. The Klöntaler Wasserturm is located near the lake, and parking is available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  Begin your journey at Glarus Bahnhof (train station). Take the bus number 501 towards 'Glarus, Klöntal' and stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes. Disembark at the 'Klöntalersee' stop. • Walking

  If you are already at Klöntalersee and wish to walk to the Klöntaler Wasserturm, simply follow the lakeside path that circles the lake. The Wasserturm is visible from various points along the lake, and the walk provides beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the paths can be uneven.
