From Grindelwald train station, take a train towards Interlaken Ost. After approximately 20 minutes, you will reach Brienz station. Once you arrive at Brienz station, exit the train and walk towards the bus station located directly outside the train station.

At Brienz bus station, board the bus number 21 towards Hofstetten. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Ballenberg' stop, which is located right in front of the Ballenberg, Swiss Open-Air Museum entrance.

If you prefer to walk from Brienz station, head south towards the lake and follow the signs for Ballenberg. The walk is approximately 3 kilometers and takes about 40 minutes. Follow the road along the lake until you reach the entrance to the museum at Museumsstrasse 100.
