Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Grindelwald, head towards the Grindelwald train station. Walk along the main street, known as Dorfstrasse, until you reach the station, which is about 10-15 minutes on foot. Once at the station, take the train to the Kleine Scheidegg station. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. After arriving at Kleine Scheidegg, follow the signs for the Eiger Trail, which is located just outside the station. The trailhead is clearly marked, and you can start your hike from there.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are near the Firstbahn cable car station, take a short walk to the Grindelwald train station. Board the train to Kleine Scheidegg, which runs frequently throughout the day. After about 30 minutes, you will arrive at Kleine Scheidegg. From there, follow the well-marked path leading to the Eiger Trail. The trail begins just next to the train station and is an easy walk to access.
