    Getting There

    Train

    Start at Interlaken Ost train station. Take a train heading towards Lauterbrunnen. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Lauterbrunnen, transfer to the train that goes to Kleine Scheidegg. This train will take you through stunning mountain scenery. After about 35 minutes, you will reach Kleine Scheidegg, where you can catch a connecting train to the Bernese Highlands.

    Bus

    From Interlaken West station, board the bus number 21 towards Wilderswil. The local bus will take about 10 minutes to reach Wilderswil. Once at Wilderswil, transfer to the bus that goes to Schynige Platte, which operates periodically. This scenic route offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and takes about 30 minutes. From Schynige Platte, you can enjoy various hiking trails leading to the Bernese Highlands.

    Hiking

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can hike from Interlaken to the Bernese Highlands. Start at the Interlaken West train station and follow the signs to the hiking trail towards Harder Kulm. This hike is about 1.5 hours long and offers panoramic views of Interlaken and the surrounding area.
