Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Interlaken West train station, head east on Höheweg towards the Aare River. Continue walking along the river for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge to the other side of the Aare River, and continue straight on the path. After crossing the bridge, follow signs for 'Matten bei Interlaken'. You will pass through a quaint residential area. Keep walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection of Unterseen and Matten. Turn left onto Schlossstrasse and after a few minutes, you will see the entrance to Burgergemeinde Unterseen on your right.

  • Bus

    From the Interlaken Ost train station, take bus number 21 towards 'Matten bei Interlaken'. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Matten, Schützenhaus' stop. From there, walk straight ahead for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Schlossstrasse. Turn right onto Schlossstrasse, and after a short walk, you will see Burgergemeinde Unterseen on your right.

  • Train and Walking

    From the Interlaken Ost train station, take the train towards 'Brienz' and ride for one stop to 'Interlaken West'. When you arrive at Interlaken West, exit the station and head east on Höheweg towards the Aare River. Follow the same walking instructions as from Interlaken West above to reach Burgergemeinde Unterseen.
