Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, start from Lauterbrunnen village. Drive towards Wengen, taking the road that leads to the Wengen cable car station. Once you reach the station, you’ll need to park your car at one of the designated parking areas in Lauterbrunnen, as Wengen is a car-free village. The parking fee is approximately CHF 10-15 per day. After parking, walk to the Wengen cable car station and take the cable car up to Wengen. From Wengen, follow the signs to Moenchblick, which is about a 30-minute walk along a scenic trail.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, take the train from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Wengen, exit the train station and follow the signs to the cable car station. After the cable car ride, you will need to walk about 30 minutes along a well-marked trail to reach Moenchblick. Make sure to check the train and cable car schedules ahead of time, as they may vary. The train ticket costs approximately CHF 5-10.

Walking

If you are already in Lauterbrunnen Valley and prefer to hike, you can walk from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen. This hike takes about 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace.
