Funicular
From Locarno, head to the Funicolare Locarno-Orselina station located near the train station. You can walk from the train station to the funicular station in about 10 minutes. Once at the funicular station, purchase a ticket and take the funicular up to Orselina. The ride offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. Upon arrival at the Orselina station, you will be very close to Madonna del Sasso.

Walking
After arriving at the Orselina funicular station, you can reach Madonna del Sasso by walking. Exit the funicular and head left on Via Santuario. Follow this road for about 10 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Madonna del Sasso on your right. The walk is uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a climb, but the views along the way are rewarding.

Bus
Alternatively, from Locarno, you can take a bus to Orselina. Head to the Locarno bus station and board bus number 2 towards Orselina. The bus ride takes around 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Orselina, funicolare' stop. From there, you can either take the funicular or walk to Madonna del Sasso, which is a short uphill walk of about 10 minutes along Via Santuario.
