From Lucerne, head to the main train station (Luzern Bahnhof). Purchase a ticket to Brienz. Trains to Brienz typically leave every hour. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Brienz, exit the train station and follow the signs to the bus stop located on the opposite side of the train tracks.

At the Brienz train station bus stop, catch the bus heading towards Axalp. The bus service is infrequent, so check the schedule beforehand. The ride to Axalp takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Axalp' stop, which is right at the entrance to the area.

After getting off the bus at Axalp, you will find yourself in a beautiful natural area. Follow the signs for hiking trails or viewpoints. Depending on your interest, you can take a short walk to enjoy the scenic views of Lake Brienz and the surrounding mountains.
