Walking
If you are in the city center of Lucerne, start at the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke). Head east along the river towards the Swiss National Museum. Once you reach the museum, continue straight until you reach the main road (Hirschmattstrasse). Turn left onto Hirschmattstrasse and then walk straight until you reach the intersection with Haldenstrasse. Turn right onto Haldenstrasse. The Swiss Museum of Transport will be on your left at Haldenstrasse 44.

From Lucerne city center, you can take bus number 1 or 2 from the stop 'Bahnhof' (Train Station). Get off at 'Haldenstrasse' bus stop. After exiting the bus, walk a short distance down Haldenstrasse, and the Swiss Museum of Transport will be on your left at Haldenstrasse 44.

If you want a scenic route, take a boat from Lucerne's main boat dock (Schifffahrtsgesellschaft) across Lake Lucerne to 'Vitznau'. From the boat dock at Vitznau, take the bus number 10 towards 'Zug' and get off at 'Haldenstrasse'. The Swiss Museum of Transport is just a short walk from the bus stop, located at Haldenstrasse 44.
