Public Transport
From Lucerne, head to the Lucerne train station (Bahnhof Luzern). Once there, take the S-Bahn train S5 towards Zug. Make sure to check the train schedule for departure times. After about 30 minutes, you will arrive at the Zug station. From Zug, transfer to the bus number 34 towards Uetliberg. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Uetliberg' stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs leading to Uetliberg peak. The walk to the summit is approximately 20 minutes, and you will have stunning views along the way.

Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous, you can hike to Uetliberg from Lucerne. Start at the Lucerne train station and head south towards the Reuss River. Cross the bridge and follow the path along the river until you reach the trailhead for the Uetliberg hiking path. The hike will take around 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace. Follow the marked trails that lead through beautiful forests and up to the peak of Uetliberg. Be sure to bring water and wear proper hiking shoes.
