If you are starting from the Lugano train station, exit the station and head south towards the main street, Viale Stefano Franscini. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the waterfront. Once you are at the lakefront, turn left and continue walking along the promenade. After about 15 minutes, you will see the Gate on Lake Lugano, which is a prominent structure on the lakefront.
